StatusBizzyPrivacy policy
Last updated 15 October 2026
This explains what StatusBizzy collects, why, and what you can ask us to do with it. Zel Labs Limited, Benin City, Nigeria, is responsible for your data under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023.
What we collect
- Your account: your email and name, and your password stored scrambled so even we can't read it. If you sign in with Google, we get your name, email and profile picture from Google.
- Your store: its name, your WhatsApp number for orders, and your products: pictures, videos, names, prices, descriptions and categories.
- Your WhatsApp link: your WhatsApp number, the keys that keep the link working, and the WhatsApp IDs of your contacts, because WhatsApp needs that list to know who sees your status. We don't keep your contacts' names, and we don't read or store your chats.
- Payments: Paystack handles your card or bank details; we never see them. We keep the amount, date, plan and Paystack reference.
- Posting history: what was posted and when, and any errors, so we can fix problems.
- Technical: our servers log IP addresses and pages visited, for security. We use cookies only to keep you logged in and to remember who invited you (for 30 days). No advertising cookies.
Your customers
People who open your store don't need an account, and we don't collect their details beyond standard server logs. When they order, the message goes from their WhatsApp straight to yours; it doesn't pass through us.
Why we use it
- To run your store and post your products on your status (our agreement with you).
- To take payments and keep records the law requires.
- To email you about your account: password resets, failed posts, your plan ending.
- To keep StatusBizzy secure and fix problems.
We don't sell your data, and we don't use your products or contacts for anything else.
Who else handles it
- OVHcloud: our servers, in Canada.
- Paystack: payments.
- Google: only if you sign in with Google.
- ZeptoMail (Zoho): sending our emails.
- Cloudflare: our domain's DNS.
- WhatsApp (Meta): your status is posted through your own WhatsApp.
Because our servers are in Canada, your data is stored outside Nigeria. Each of these companies protects it under their own security and privacy terms.
How long we keep it
While your store is open. If you ask us to delete it, we delete your account, store, products and WhatsApp link within 30 days, except payment records, which we keep as long as tax law requires. Backups clear themselves within 7 days after that.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, to delete it, or to stop using it for something. Email support@statusbizzy.com.ng and we'll reply within 7 days. If you're not happy with our answer, you can complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.
Security
Connections to StatusBizzy are encrypted, passwords are scrambled, and our servers only accept logins with a private key. No system is perfectly safe; if your data is ever exposed, we'll tell you and the Commission as the law requires.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update the date above and tell you in the app or by email.
